In re The Original Soupman, Inc.

The Original Soupman, Inc., the soup manufacturer that shot to fame after being featured on an episode of Seinfeld, petitioned for bankruptcy in June 2017 shortly after its Chief Financial Officer was arrested for failure to withhold and pay federal income tax on certain compensation paid.  Soupman Lending, LLC, acquired the "D&O" claims out of the bankruptcy, and retained Bragar Eagel & Squire, P.C., to bring those claims.  We are prosecuting claims for breach of fiduciary duty against former directors and officers of The Original Soupman, Inc.  In May 2020, we succesfully defended against a motion to dismiss.  The matter settled favorably for the client.
